View DetailsWASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) today released its draft Energy Storage Strategy and Roadmap (SRM), a plan that provides strategic direction and identifies key opportunities to optimize DOE's investment in future planning of energy storage research, development, demonstration, and deployment projects.
The underlying motivation for DOE's strategic investment in energy storage is to ensure that the American people will have access to energy storage innovations that enable resilient, flexible, affordable, and secure energy systems and supply, for everyone, everywhere.
The DOE is asking for comment from stakeholders to inform its energy storage SRM through a formal Notice of Availability (NOA). The DOE released its draft Energy Storage Strategy and Roadmap (SRM), providing direction and opportunities for energy storage investments.
